The Structure

Gridless is built on learning through experience.

Over six weeks, students identify a real opportunity, test it, refine it, build it, market it, and launch it. Every stage is practical and interactive.

The programme is age-specific. Younger students focus on confidence and creativity. Older students go deeper into strategy, finance, and technical thinking.

Students step into university spaces, learn from finance and psychology students, present to live audiences, and meet people studying and working in fields they may one day enter. They practise speaking to professionals, asking strong questions, and expanding their circle early.

Parents receive a video compilation of their child’s work each session

May 10

Students begin with fast-paced challenges, identifying everyday frustrations and narrowing them into clear, specific problems.

Ideas are debated, questioned, and refined under time pressure. Vague thinking is pushed until it becomes precise.

By the end of the week, each team commits to one focused concept that has earned its place.

Now the ideas leave the classroom.

At King’s College London, students step into a university environment to test their assumptions. They design short surveys, speak to potential customers, professors, and students, and analyse possible competitors.

They learn a crucial lesson…Not every good idea survives contact with reality.

Saturday May 23

Students iterate, sharpen and refine their concept.

They define who it is for, what problem it solves, and why someone would choose it. With guidance from a finance student, they stress-test the commercial side of their idea. They build financial projections appropriate to their age group.

Students then craft their pitch as a structured argument supported by logic, evidence, and defensible financial thinking.

May 24

The day begins with focused pitch preparation.

Students refine their slides, strengthen their structure, and learn core presentation skills: voice control, pacing, body language, and how to command a room. They practise handling questions and thinking clearly under pressure.

Then guests are invited in.

Students present their business in a lecture theatre infront of an audience, defend their decisions, and respond to real questions

This is where the idea becomes tangible.

Depending on their age and direction, students might build a simple AI tool, design a small fashion collection, develop a digital concept, or create a physical product ready for sale.

Turn thinking into something real.

Having something is not the same as getting people to want it.

Students design their brand identity: creating a logo, defining their message, and producing a short video advert for their product or service.

With guidance from a psychology student, they explore what actually drives attention and decision-making. They learn why certain colours, words, and visuals influence behaviour.

June 14

Students sell their products at a live market. This is the opportunity to show off their fantastic products and marketing to earn some profit!

A celebratory award ceremony that recognises a unique strength of each student will close the market..
